All Simulations Are Not Created Equal
Building energy simulation is the key to designing cost-effective envelopes and HVAC systems. But to create accurate simulations, you need extensive, hands-on experience in the design, implementation, and commissioning of real-world projects.
At EMC, we start with ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-1999, which is the basis for most state's energy codes, and
then we improve on that to qualify for Optimized Energy Performance LEED™ credits.
We also use nationally recognized building energy models, including BCEP, DOE-2, FEDS,
PowerDOE,
eQuest, Trace 700, and many others. But just as important, we bring a firm grasp of the engineering fundamentals used by these programs to handle energy calculations and predict real-world outcomes.
