CDC Boiler Plant Upgrade
EMC provided design and construction phase services to upgrade the original 40 year old Central Boiler Plant at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta Georgia. The rapid addition of new laboratory facilities on the CDC campus was quickly using up excess Central Boiler Plant capacity. EMC was asked design modifications to increase plant capacity from 135,000 pounds per hour (PPH) to 200,000 pounds per hour, and to replace aging systems to improve reliability and extend the useful life of the facility. |
